In 2027, WE ACT will open New York City’s first community-based environmental justice center, an outcome of 37 years of WE ACT’s experience and leadership in taking community-based action in partnership with the most affected people.

Time is running out to meet our emission reduction goals and combat the worst impacts of climate change. To meet the challenges ahead we must expand our key movement building work. Building the Environmental Justice Center is more important than ever to increase the pace of environmental and climate justice and to create a pipeline for future climate justice changemakers.
