** Fortunately, reality tends to be the opposite of whatever the left wants it to be.

Wall Street Journal ([link removed]) (11/28/25) opinion: "The politically-driven effort to force a transition from traditional power to wind, solar and battery has produced an energy crisis in blue America. Progressive-led states are beset by increasing electricity rates and declining reliability. Although their leaders uniformly blame President Trump, the costs have become so high that some on the left are finally scaling back these destructive policies. But it’s no guarantee sobriety will win the day. As governor, Ms. Healey in 2024 created an Office of Energy Transformation which is tasked with supporting her proposed 'Energy Affordability' legislation. The office is being staffed on a pro bono basis with the same 'expert study' authors she used when misjudging the state’s needs as attorney general. Presumably, this time will be different. Some of Ms. Healey’s former allies in the legislature have their doubts."

** "I think there was some confidence at the time that when governments got together, and everyone put forward their national commitments, everybody felt we were just going to sort of breeze past that. Now, I think, there is a better understanding of the true nature of the fossil fuel disinformation and corruption campaign."

The numbers don't lie...natural gas is simply better.

Only the left would think subsidizing China while making America vulnerable is a good idea.

** Fox News ([link removed])
(11/25/25) reports: "A pair of major North American solar companies, including one touted by Senate Democrats in 2023, could face scrutiny over their ties to China. While the feds have created barriers to Chinese firms flooding the solar market, many have found ways to localize operations in the U.S. or North America in a manner that allows for public investment and even deferential press coverage at times. After then-President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act, Senate Democrats praised the law for its substantive investments in 'green' energy, including solar. One company that received top billing was an Ontario-based firm that was founded by a Chinese entrepreneur and keeps much of its assets in China."

Turns out, wind only wins with unfair subsidies.

(12/01/25) reports: "The chief executive of German power utility major E.ON has called on the government to prioritize businesses over wind and solar capacity additions, saying job creation was more important than more turbines. 'First priority for grid connection should go to whoever creates jobs,' Leonhard Birnbaum told Sueddeutsche Zeitung in an interview, as cited by Reuters. 'The costs for the fixed feed-in tariff for new solar power may look harmless per year,' the executive added. 'But the subsidy often runs for 20 years, and that adds up to billions.' Birnbaum did not stop there, however, also telling the daily that 'The renewables have won — they already deliver more than 60% of our electricity. At this stage, it no longer makes sense to massively subsidize new capacity, especially when another wind turbine adds costs but hardly any benefit.' Germany has been among the most aggressive wind and solar developers in Europe, in line with the Energiewende, or energy transition, plan
devised during the Angela Merkel era."
