Hello colleagues,

We all know how dangerous an Alaska winter can be. Our unhoused neighbors are at risk for frostbite, or worse. The good news is Alaskans take care of our own. On a single day this fall, our community provided 500 of our unhoused neighbors with a set of winter gear. That sounds like a lot but it wasn’t enough. The gear ran out with many still waiting to be served.

Help us restock! Our Season of Warmth giving campaign launches today. We aim to raise enough in December to outfit 100 people living outdoors with essentials: hats and gloves, boots and socks, snow pants and jackets! Our outreach teams will directly distribute items to our unsheltered neighbors.

Donations of any amount make a difference. Your gift can help us buy in bulk, or you can drop off new or gently used items from the list. (Think brightly colored, for visibility.) Donate $10 and someone will get new gloves, a hat and handwarmers. Donate $30 and they’ll get new boots. For $120, we can provide head-to-toe items.

Get ahead of Giving Tuesday and give back today.

Thank you for caring about those whose holidays need a bit more warmth.

With gratitude,

The team at the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness
