GIVING TUESDAY CHALLENGE:

A donor has offered to contribute $100,000 to our Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts — but only if we can get 1,000 members to pitch in. Renew your LCV membership today while membership is just $5 to help us unlock critical funds to protect public lands from being carved up and sold to polluters >>

Friend, this Giving Tuesday isn’t just another deadline — it’s a crucial opportunity for our movement to turn up the heat on the Trump administration as they prepare to ram through its worst anti-environmental attacks yet in the coming weeks.

And if we can rally 1,000 members before midnight tomorrow, a donor will add another $100,000 to fund our campaigns for clean air, safe drinking water, and the future of our climate. That’s an additional $100 for every person reading this who pitches in!

This opportunity couldn’t come at a more critical moment. Trump and his fossil fuel buddies are pushing forward numerous attacks that could sell off our public lands and waters and harm our health and climate for decades.

Here’s what we’re working to stop:

  • Opening up millions of acres of the Arctic and other public lands and waters to oil and gas leasing. From building roads through national parks and wildlife refuges, to opening up more than a BILLION acres of U.S. waters to drilling and millions more on public lands, including the Arctic Refuge’s fragile Coastal Plain, Trump is trying to exploit Alaska’s invaluable ecosystems for profit.

  • Repealing the Endangerment Finding, a foundational finding that greenhouse gases are a threat to public health and our climate, which would allow fossil fuel companies to dump carbon and methane into the air without oversight or accountability.

  • Ending more than a dozen rules that limit harmful fossil fuel power plant pollution, disregarding decades of established science and improvements in air quality to make it easier for fossil fuel companies to pollute without responsibility.

Across the country, LCV is working with our 30 state affiliates to mobilize resistance to these harmful rollbacks and keep public lands in public hands.

Unlocking this additional $100,000 will give us the resources we need to hold lawmakers and polluters accountable as they chip away at vital safeguards that protect our air, water, land, health, and climate from Big Polluters.
