CorpOnline System Update Launches December 8
Corp Online
DLCP is excited to announce its upgraded CorpOnline system will launch December 8, 2025.
The new system will allow for 100% of the District's corporate registration filings to be completed online, including mergers, conversions, domestications, and service of process. With guided workflows, enhanced application features, and an improved user experience, managing your business registrations will be easier than ever.
To prepare for the transition and to ensure that all existing filings migrate into the new system, the current CorpOnline system will go offline at the close of business on December 2, 2025.
Between December 3-5, filings can still be submitted in person at DLCP’s office located at1100 4th St., SW. During this transition, the Corporations Division will not be able to accommodate one and three day expedited filings. Please plan for a five-business day turnaround time. If you have any filings that you need approved before December 2, please submit them as soon as possible to avoid delays. On December 8, the new CorpOnline will be available, bringing the convenience of 24/7 online access to all your filing needs.
The upgraded system will be accessible via Access DC, just like the current system. If you already have an Access DC account, you can log in on December 8, and start using all the new features immediately.

Highlights of the CorpOnline Upgrade
The new CorpOnline system introduces a wide range of improvements that will make business registration more efficient, transparent, and user friendly. From expanded online services to modern infrastructure, here are the key highlights you can expect.
*A Fully Digital Experience*
For the first time, 100% of services and filings are available online. Whether completing mergers, conversions, domestications, or service of process, every step can now be handled digitally — giving businesses the convenience of a streamlined, modern registration process.
*Smarter, Simpler Workflows*
The system offers intuitive navigation and real-time validation, reducing errors before submission. Improved automation means fewer rejections and refund requests, while built-in help text and specific error messages guide users through the process with clarity.
*Efficiency for Businesses and DLCP *
With better self-service tools, DLCP anticipates a reduction in call and email volume, allowing staff to focus on more complex needs. Businesses benefit from immediate access to receipts after submission and an enhanced dashboard that clearly displays filing status.
*Modern Infrastructure *
Arts&Appetite | Fueling DC’s Creative Economy
The system now provides public visibility into beneficial ownership and full filing history, strengthening transparency and accountability. It also connects seamlessly with Access DC to ensure a smooth, unified experience for users.

Access to Records | Your Filing History, Always Within Reach
The upgraded CorpOnline system will make it easier than ever to access important business records. All entities' filing history will transfer into the new platform and now be viewable to the public, giving businesses and the public a clear view of past activity. Documents for filings previously filed online will be available for download, so nothing is lost in the transition. Most importantly, there is no need to re‑file anything that has already been submitted, allowing businesses to move forward with confidence while knowing their records are secure and readily available.
This seamless access is another way DLCP delivers business services that are clearer, faster, and more reliable.
