Dawn Peterson
Dawn Peterson

4th Grade Teacher

Livingston Elementary, PCSD#6

Dawn Peterson, a dedicated 4th-grade teacher at Livingston Elementary, is known for her creativity and inspirational approach to teaching. She consistently puts students first, always willing to think outside of the box to keep them engaged and excited about learning. Dawn excels in science instruction, incorporating hands-on lessons that bring concepts to life and create meaningful educational experiences for her students. She even brought Expedition Yellowstone to Livingston—a four-day overnight trip where students learn directly from park rangers, creating unforgettable real-world learning opportunities. In addition, Dawn is part of the Governor's RIDE initiative and is always open to feedback on how she can continue to grow for the benefit of her students. Beyond her classroom, she is a valued team member who collaborates with colleagues to strengthen the school community. Dawn truly loves her students and is committed to doing what is best for them every single day.

“Mrs. Peterson’s creativity and dedication inspire both her students and her colleagues. She goes above and beyond to create meaningful learning experiences, always keeping what is best for kids at the heart of her work.”
