It looks like we're finally going to see those infamous MRI results, folks! But first, just imagine going to your doctor for a routine exam and being told you need an MRI. Imagine not asking why. Then imagine returning home, relaying the visit to your family, and when they predictably ask "why the MRI?" you tell them you didn't bother to ask. Now, imagine going to the follow-up appointment for said MRI and — again — not asking what it's for. Still with us? Ok, good. Now imagine literally being ferried inside the MRI machine — from anywhere between 20 and 90 minutes — and STILL not asking why. Oh, also, you're the president of the United States and you're 79 years old. The man is either lying through his teeth or so profoundly lacks any semblance of competency and curiosity he should not be trusted with a steak knife, let alone the nation's nuclear codes.

In a comical display of delusion, Donald Trump took to his social media platform and declared himself "THE AFFORDABILITY PRESIDENT," citing the mythical drop in drug prices by "500%, 600%, 700%, and more." Never one to shy away from absurd hyperbole, the MAGA cult leader called his decision to invoke "FAVORED NATIONS STATUS" [sic] the "biggest and most important event, EVER" and claimed that, if reported on properly, it would lead to a Republican landslide in next year's elections. A few things to unpack here, but let's just focus on the dumbest: if a random prescription cost $10 and Trump somehow managed to lower the price charged by the pharmacy by 500%, you would be paid $40 to "buy" it. Look, we're not saying Trump's not stupid, but we are saying he is full of shit. Hey, maybe there's a pill he can be paid to take for that.

Donald Trump desperately wants to present a big, tough, strong guy persona to the world and clearly does not care for international norms or pesky laws, but even more so, he does not want to go down on anyone else's sinking ship (awful pun intended). Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth quite obviously gave a lethal "kill everybody" double-tap order targeting a suspected drug-running boat from Venezuela in direct violation of international law — otherwise known as a war crime — and while the MAGA cult leader clearly approves, he's obviously been advised to distance himself from the startling, illegal offense. Lawmakers on both sides of the aise have raised serious concerns about Hegseth's murderous orders, which Trump has thus far defended, albeit with a peculiar caveat. "I wouldn't have wanted that — not a second strike," Trump quipped. And so the distancing begins. It will be interesting to see where this story goes over the coming days, but one thing's for sure: the buck will not stop at Donald's desk in the Oval Office.
