Dear John,
I've been raising money to protect wild salmon for decades, and in that time I've enjoyed watching Giving Tuesday ([link removed]) become such a powerhouse event. It's inspiring to see so many people choose to make a difference for the causes they care about – all at once, and at the same time year after year.
With this year's Giving Tuesday just one day away, I wanted to let you know that since you’ve been supporting our mission, we are already able to match your Giving Tuesday gift 2X – doubling the impact of your generosity at a critical juncture for wild salmon.
Take a moment now to make your 2X matched Giving Tuesday gift – while matching funds are still available. ([link removed])

In many ways, it's been a tough year for those of us who work in conservation. Federal policy changes and unprecedented budget cuts have made it that much harder to protect and restore wild salmon and their home rivers.
But regardless of the changes to federal science and policy, we soldier on thanks to the steadfast support of our donors.
That support is helping us pioneer breakthroughs in conservation science that will make us even more effective at achieving our mission. Our very own Dr. Tasha Thompson has three studies en route for publication, each advancing genetics as a groundbreaking tool for wild salmon conservation. One of the most exciting aspects of Dr. Thompson's approach is that it makes helpful data available to anyone who wants to use it.

Here's Dr. Thompson in her own words: "There are a lot of benefits to a publicly-available, range-wide genetic dataset like this. It can dramatically reduce the cost of applying discoveries made in one population to other parts of the species’ range. And it makes it possible to test things that we need to know about Chinook on a broad scale. The tools we're developing are helping us unlock some fascinating insights about salmon."
Support the cutting-edge research and conservation efforts that will protect wild salmon and their strongholds for generations to come. Make your Giving Tuesday gift now to ensure it's matched 2X. ([link removed])
As I said, John, I've been doing this work for quite some time, and I've never been more excited about what we can achieve for wild salmon, their rivers and watersheds, and the many other species that also thrive when wild salmon do. The science is moving quickly. We just need the resources to make good use of it, and I'm hoping you're able to provide some of those resources today. ([link removed])
