*CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Dec. 1, 2025* - Governor Mark Gordon invites the public to attend the 2026 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, a tradition that has brought Wyomingites together in prayer, reflection, and community for more than 70 years. The annual event will take place February 26, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. at Little America Hotel and Resort.
Over the course of the past eight years, the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast has seen remarkable growth. What began with just under 300 attendees in 2019 has expanded into a sold-out gathering of more than 600 people for each of the last five years, reflecting a deepening interest in faith, unity, and community engagement.
Governor Gordon noted that this event continues to be a significant source of encouragement and connection for people across the state. “Jennie and I look forward to this event each year because it always weaves together prayer, friendship, and a deep sense of community," Governor Gordon said. “We are struck by how this breakfast brings people together in a spirit of humility, reflection, and shared purpose. It’s a reminder of how faith, however we express it, strengthens our communities and lifts our state. It’s a blessing to share that time with so many Wyomingites.”
Individual tickets are on sale beginning December 1 at $75 each through the official website, www.wyoprayerbreakfast.org. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Governor’s Prayer Breakfast is made possible entirely through private sponsorships, with no state tax dollars used to fund the event. It is organized by the Wyoming Governor’s Residence Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting events and initiatives that strengthen civic and community life in Wyoming.
This year’s presenting sponsor is Black Hills Energy. Supporting sponsors include Downing Strategy & Solutions, GoWest Credit Union Association, NextEra Energy, Rocky Mountain Power, UniWyo Credit Union, Wyoming Bankers Association, and Wyoming Hospital Association. Their contributions help ensure the event remains accessible, meaningful, and reflective of Wyoming’s values.
Rooted in the tradition of the National Prayer Breakfast, held annually in Washington, D.C. since 1953, the Wyoming Governor’s Prayer Breakfast is non-denominational and nonpartisan, welcoming attendees from all backgrounds. It continues to serve as a moment of unity, reflection, and shared purpose for communities across the state.
