After a year of campaigning, voting starts tomorrow!

We’ve accomplished a lot in the last year:

• The Stranger wrote about Kilmer’s misleading ad claiming he supports “universal health care,” when his plan would actually leave 10-15 million people uninsured.

• The Intercept wrote a piece about Kilmer’s flip-flopping after he signed onto a letter calling for Social Security cuts. He was the only Democrat in Washington state who joined with Republicans to do this.

• We’ve made over 500,000 calls to voters in the district.

• I’ve raised more than all of my Democratic opponent’s challengers — from all parties — in the last three cycles combined.

• We got a flurry of new endorsements: the National Women’s Political Caucus; the Urbanist; Immaculate Ferreria, family support specialist and former State Senate candidate; Supreet Kaur, former National Political Project Manager and National AAPI Organizer for Bernie Sanders; and Patricia Sully, Tacoma civil rights attorney.

• And a lot more!

This is a winning campaign. It’s not easy taking on an entrenched corporate incumbent sitting on millions in corporate cash. But we’re doing it, thanks to you and your support.

With my Democratic opponent Rep. Derek Kilmer flip-flopping on Social Security, the urgency of this race has only increased. 24% of District 6 is on Social Security. The grandma in Tacoma living on $750 a month can’t flip-flop on paying her rent, so her representative shouldn’t flip-flop on her Social Security.
