From day one, the Trump administration has been attacking access to contraceptive care to fulfill a partisan agenda. This month, they landed yet another blow to this vital health care service through a landmark SCOTUS ruling.
Universities and publicly traded companies are now allowed to refuse contraceptive coverage due to “religious and moral objections.” That rule change singlehandedly endangers the coverage of over 126,000 Americans.
Early in Trump’s term, his administration already passed new rules to cut programs that provided low-cost contraceptives to impoverished folks. This is just their latest attack on contraceptive care.
Contraceptive care is health care. Period. Together, we’re going to overturn this change, and then work to ensure that the entire system of employer health care is replaced with Medicare for All – so that no person ever has to worry about their employers' morals affecting their personal health.
