Too many voters go into the voting booth on Election Day and think, "I don't know who any of these people are on my ballot.”
Ballotpedia is determined to change that. Our goal is to provide robust information about every candidate in every election. We define robust data as any of the following:

Endorsements,

Ratings
But, providing robust information about every candidate in every election is a monumental challenge with more than 500,000 elected officials nationwide, 96% of them at the local level. But with your help, we’re closing the gap.
In 2024, we covered more than 11,000 total local elections. In 2025, we covered more than 35,000 local elections, but thousands more remain, and we need your contribution to help get us there!
