John,
A federal court just blocked the Texas GOP's newly redrawn congressional map -- a map pushed through after Donald Trump demanded changes designed to lock in more Republican seats ahead of next year's midterms.
The judge's ruling was clear: this map wasn't just political, it was discriminatory, and my district was one of the targets.
We may have won that round, but Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton have already appealed, and now this case is headed to the Supreme Court, where the next decision could come quickly. What happens there will shape whether we get fair representation -- or a partisan map designed to silence us.
That's why tonight's end-of-month deadline matters. We need to show real grassroots strength so we're prepared for whatever the Court does next.
Can you chip in before midnight to help protect this district and keep us competitive heading into 2026? [link removed] [[link removed]]
Thank you for being in this fight with me.

Growing up in Fort Worth’s historic Como neighborhood, I used to dream about opportunities that would allow me a chance to experience things that filled my imagination; about American heroes and fascinating places in our country. I dreamed that I could one day make a difference in the lives of my friends and neighbors. It was that simple goal that eventually led me to Washington and the halls of Congress.
For over a decade, I have been humbled by the ongoing support and encouragement of the community that raised me. Today, I’m asking for it again.
