No joke, friend – one of the only "Day One" promises President Trump kept was to pardon people who participated in the Jan. 6 insurrection.
And he took it even further by pardoning the lawyers who led his attempt to overturn the 2020 election. Think Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, so on and so forth. None of these people were ever convicted in federal court, but this symbolic move raises A LOT of red flags.
On top of that, Trump re-pardoned a Jan. 6 convict for separate, unrelated gun charges – basically saying that as long as you support Trump, the law doesn’t apply to you. This is so corrupt and dangerous.
But if you care even a little about upholding the rule of law – or just protecting the people in your community whom the president is openly swindling – then I hope you will rush $5, or anything you can, toward our $20,000 goal before the end-of-month deadline at midnight.

Because in light of Trump's other recent brazenly corrupt activities, like:
* The Trump family’s corrupt crypto scheme’s;
* Bulldozing the East Wing to build a $300M gilded ballroom;
* Fighting all the way to the Supreme Court to let millions of Americans – including millions of kids – needlessly go hungry;
* Sending Epstein's top lieutenant and child sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell to a minimum security prison after she gave a deposition "clearing" his name;
* And much, much more,
– this isn't a government of the people, by the people, or for the people. It's a government run by crooks, for crooks, under the most corrupt presidential administration in American history.
This guy practically makes Nixon look like a saint by comparison. But this time around, the Republican Party won't say a peep. So I have no choice but to shout about it until my voice goes hoarse.
As all our safeguards fall under Republicans' increasingly authoritarian rule, the final firewall for our democracy – and our last hope of holding Trump accountable – lies with the people. People like you, friend.
Only you have the power to put me and my colleagues back in the majority. But since that's still a little under a year away, the best thing you can do today is help me build the resources to secure massive Democratic midterm victories come next Election Day.
