Hi there,

This email is long, so I'll give you the short version first: With just a few months left until the last election before redistricting, we've never needed you more. Can you make a donation now?

The 2020 election -- the most important election of our lifetimes -- is in exactly 111 days. Now, I'm incredibly proud of the work the NDRC has done up to this point: We've invested in nine states this year and endorsed 169 state legislative candidates who are going to help us draw fair maps in 2021.

But it's not enough. We have to do more.

Here's why: Texas has 36 U.S. House seats and could get three more in 2021. Florida has 27 seats. Ohio has 16, Georgia has 14, and North Carolina has 13. At this time, Republicans control the entire redistricting process in all of those states. That means it will be a tough battle to get Democrats to the table.

U.S. House seats per target state
Texas: 36
North Carolina: 13
Florida: 27
Wisconsin: 8
Pennsylvania: 18
Minnesota: 8
Ohio: 16
Kansas: 4
Georgia: 14
New Hampshire: 2

Thanks to supporters like you, we've already invested $2 million in our 2020 targets. But the GOP is raising $125 million or more so they can manipulate the maps like they did in 2011. We won't be able to match them dollar for dollar, but we need more resources to be able to have an impact on all of the races in all of the states we must win.

So here's the part where I ask you for money. We have three-and-a-half months left to get Democrats in office so we can ensure fair maps next year. We need your help. Can you donate today?
