I'm not a fortune teller. My Magic 8 Ball skills are iffy. And I can't predict the future. But it looks like we have a winning formula for the next election, John.

Based on the results from the elections earlier this month, the winning agenda is one focused on affordability and taking bold action rather than defending the status quo.

It’s not about deciding which one leader represents our party (because spoiler alert, it’s never going to be just one leader who represents all of us).

It’s about addressing the things that people care the most about: the cost and quality of life — whether it’s food, housing, or health care — and defending our democracy by standing up to Trump.

Everywhere from New York City to New Jersey to Virginia, voters were focused on what it takes to pay rent, get to work, and buy food to feed their families.

And here in California, with just one issue on the ballot, near record numbers turned out to counter the GOP’s efforts to gerrymander the U.S. House on Trump’s behalf.

I’m working tirelessly to lower costs and to make sure voters know which party actually cares about affordability. And I will always stand up to Trump.
