With cuts to global humanitarian aid and an unprecedented number of conflicts and disasters, 2025 has stretched our resources and pushed our teams to their limit.
I've seen our doctors, nurses, and mental health workers persevere under extraordinary strain - from hospitals in Gaza running only on generators, to emergency teams in Jamaica rushing to reach isolated communities, to brave health workers in Ukraine refusing to leave their patients despite constant air strikes. Their courage reminds me every day why we do this work.
