We hope you will consider joining us for the Anti-Imperialist Campaign Series as it focuses on the Local Peace Economy for two weeks in December. We'll explore how to resist the war machine, right where we live, with alternatives and pivots in our mindset.

We won't stop the wars and build lasting peace until we dismantle the war economy. Alongside spotlighting the violence and duplicity of our policy makers in Congress, we must also be cultivating systems of peace, divesting ourselves from war economy culture and practicing habits that lead to peace.

These two weeks in December, the Anti-Imperialist Campaign Series will give you practical tools to take your next steps, creating a Peace Economy locally with your neighbors and community. Join us in cultivating a future rooted in care, cooperation, and community.

Monday, December 8th, 8PM ET Webinar - Local Peace Economy 101: This gathering will be filled with how to’s, stories, and reflections on successes of cultivating peace economies across the country. Jodie Evans will present an overview of the local peace economy framework and recent successes that give hope for the future, Marie Goodwin will focus on growing the Local Peace Economy locally through her experience in Media, PA, and Macy Jones will offer examples of the Local Peace Economy from Washington state and Gaza.

Friday, December 12th, 2-3PM ET Action Day - Making Together: We will go into breakouts to learn to Make Together. Breakouts include: knitting, protest art, poetry, and collaging. Come to the meeting with some basic supplies (pen, paper, a knitting project, etc) and your ideas!

Monday, December 15th, 8PM ET Webinar - Decolonizing December: Anti-Imperial Holidays for the Peace Activist:
We will focus on how to bring the habits of peace into this holiday season and all those beyond, creating fresh traditions that serve a future of peace, interconnection, and relationship.

Friday December 19th, 2-3PM ET How to Cultivate a Community Locally: Topics include: book swaps, story telling, Transition Towns, Circle of 8, and other topics in community care.

Last week, we welcomed Charles Eisenstein to our Local Peace Economy Gathering for a conversation on stories and how humans create meaning in our chaotic world. The conversation touched on many themes: how we respond to stories that sit outside our ideas of "normal" or "consensus reality;" how stories we tell each other reify the larger "stories" of our cultural norms; how our cultural stories are breaking down as we experience the multi-crisis of modern life; and how us/them thinking holds us back from creating the Local Peace Economy in our communities. If you missed this gathering, it is a conversation well worth your time.
