TO: Intrested Parties
FROM: Antonio Delgado for New York
MEMO: Tonight's Deadline
Antonio Delgado is running for governor on a platform that calls for delivering universal healthcare, higher wages, and affordable housing. While finally taxing the rich fairly.
To be blunt: Our opponent has more money than we do. Lots. Fueled in large part by corporate PACs and the same donors who put Donald Trump back in the White House. We need to expect that billionaire donors will go all-in against us.
Our opponents are beatable. This is a winnable race. But we need to be ready for a tough fight.
About Antonio:
Antonio Delgado is a Schenectady native raised by parents who worked their way into the middle class at General Electric. A Rhodes Scholar and Harvard Law graduate, Antonio proved his ability to win tough fights by flipping a rural district in 2018, where he became one of the most effective, bipartisan members of Congress with 18 bills signed into law.
Now serving as Lieutenant Governor, he continues to deliver statewide results for working families. He has the proven track record and broad appeal necessary to win this race.
Tonight's deadline:
After tonight at midnight, our campaign has to review how much money we’ve raised — and from how many donors.
We’ll have to make tough decisions in regards to how many people we can reach, campaigning, staffing, and all that comes with running an expensive stateside race
It’s critical that we raise enough to fund the most competitive campaign operation possible.
Where you come in:
We’re counting on grassroots donors taking advantage of New York state’s public matching program to give us the resources to fight back..
This program matches in-state contributions 6-to-1. So your $5 donation makes a $35 impact!
It’s a historic chance for us to prove that you don’t need corporate backing to win in New York.
The bottom line: The only way we’ll be able to raise the funds to run a competitive campaign is with your help.
