Dear John,

Meet Ainsley, a 14-year-old female athlete who boldly asked Minnesota’s legislators to protect her right to play sports on a safe and level playing field. On behalf of other “girls, friends and teammates,” Ainsley told the committee that there should be “no fear” in asking her legislators to protect the most basic of rights for women and girls in Minnesota. Watch the full testimony here.

Who is bold enough to stand and support Ainsley with us?

Here’s the bottom line: one male taking a girl's spot on a sports team, title, or placement is one violation too many. Your team at Minnesota Family Council and our legal initiative, True North Legal, are tirelessly working on defense and offense to protect athletic opportunities for women and girls.

We were privileged to coordinate Ainsley’s powerful and courageous testimony at our Capitol. Our team is already strategizing how we will continue to protect Ainsley and other girls across Minnesota in 2026. As I shared with you recently, progressives in our legislature want to advance a constitutional amendment that protects the self-identification of "gender" into our state constitution next year. If passed, girls like Ainsley will have their athletic opportunities stolen from them by boys. Moreover, as I shared with you in my last message, the safety of all Minnesota’s women and girls will be threatened.

This Giving Tuesday, will you help us prevent this constitutional amendment from passing in 2026? With your help, we can bring more powerful testimonies to our legislators (and so much more)!

P.S. I know you won’t be outdone by 14-year-old Ainsley’s boldness in asking our legislators to protect the athletic opportunities of girls like her across our state. Your gift today will bolster Ainsley’s voice and further our work to protect girls’ rights at the Capitol.
