John,

Ninety-nine years ago today, the 19th Amendment was adopted, giving women the right to vote and marking a huge step forward in the women's equality movement in our country. But as we remember all the progress we've made over the last century, we must recognize all the challenges we still face, especially under the Trump administration.

Just last week, Planned Parenthood was forced to pull out of Title X due to Donald Trump's "gag rule" that prohibits federal funding to organizations that provide, discuss, or refer women for abortions. Planned Parenthood serves over 40% of Title X patients, and this rule puts women and their health at risk. As the only woman doctor in Congress, I know how important it is that women have access to the care they need. Losing access to Title X services through Planned Parenthood will without a doubt lead to more unintended pregnancies, more undiagnosed and untreated infections, and more cancer deaths.

So John, on this Women's Equality Day, will you chip in $5 or more before our end-of-month deadline Saturday at midnight so I can keep fighting to protect women's rights in Congress?

Women and their rights have been under attack since Donald Trump took office. From rejecting calls for equal pay to blocking access to birth control, Trump has made it clear that he stands against, not with, women.

As your congresswoman, I will always fight for women's equality. But right now, my seat is under attack from anti-choice Republicans who want to flip it back in 2020. I need your help to fight back against whatever attacks may come our way and help me continue to protect women's rights in Congress.

Please chip in before our deadline to stand with me for women's equality.

Thank you,

Dr. Kim Schrier
