Tomorrow is one of my last fundraising deadlines before the midterm election year, and the stakes are increasing fast.

Here are two reasons why I’m counting on your continued support:

The passage of Proposition 50 was a resounding win for our democracy, but it also adds tens of thousands of new voters to my district. We need to end the year with strength to have the tools we need to reach these voters who have never seen my name on the ballot or heard my story and what I’m about.

While Prop 50 makes many Democratic-held seats safer, CA-27 is still listed by Sabato’s Crystal Ball as one of the most competitive nationwide. With that label comes an increase in Republican attacks -- I’ve already faced baseless lies from the NRCC, and outside spending is almost guaranteed to increase in the new year.

With the House majority on the line, losing my first re-election race is simply not an option. Will you chip in $3 to hold the line in CA-27 and send a message of strength before tomorrow’s deadline?
