The truth is, it started before the classroom.

James isn’t just a former middle school teacher, he’s also an eighth-generation Texan.

He learned the courage to do what's right at a young age when his mother left a violent relationship — packing up all of her stuff (and James) into her little Ford Escort to start anew.

James ran for the Texas House in 2018 to fight for his constituents — people like his mom and his students. It was a district no one thought we could win, but he flipped a district Donald Trump had won just two years earlier.

As a state legislator, James went toe-to-toe with the billionaire mega-donors who have taken over our state.

He went up against Big Pharma and other special interests to lower the cost of prescription drugs, child care, and housing.

Now it’s time to bring James’ fight to the U.S. Senate.

But this will not be easy.

We’re going up against those billionaire mega-donors and their puppet politicians. We’re going up against a rigged system. And we’re going up against a lot of money.

But we're in this together. If we believe we can win this race and do what it takes to get it done, we will win.
