I talk to you a lot about the importance of winning in Ohio this November, and today, I want to talk to you about my friend Desiree Tims (a Team Sherrod alum!) who’s running to represent Ohio’s 10th District in the House of Representatives.
I know Desiree and I can’t think of anyone better equipped to represent Daytonians in Congress.
This is going to be a tough race. She’s fighting to flip this seat for the first time in nearly a decade. And just today, Desiree was added to the DCCC’s Red to Blue list -- that means this race is winnable.
With the support of a strong grassroots community like ours, I know we can send Desiree to represent Ohioans in Congress. If you are able, chip in today -- 100% of your contribution will go straight to Desiree’s campaign.

Desiree was born and raised in Dayton. The first person in her family to attend a four-year college, she’s a Xavier graduate and received a degree from Georgetown Law by taking night classes. Now, Desiree is running to become the first African American and the first woman to represent Ohio’s 10th.
Desiree understands Daytonians and what they need from Congress, and she’s running to put them first after years of getting placed on the backburner behind partisan politics and special interests.
Momentum is building behind Desiree’s campaign. She won her primary with 70% of the vote, and last quarter, she outraised her Republican opponent. With Election Day around the corner, Desiree needs a strong grassroots support system. If you can, chip in to help Desiree flip OH-10 from red to blue.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
