John,
Maine’s State motto, Dirigo or, “I lead,” has always carried a deeper meaning than its simple translation. Because Maine people lead by example – we work hard, we look out for each other, and we tackle challenges head on.
I’ve been fortunate to lead in many capacities over the years — from my local school board (the hardest job in politics!), to Speaker of the House, to leading Maine’s new “Office of the Future” and getting to dive into crucial long-term issues like housing and climate action. Each role taught me something different about what leadership means and how to get things done in a place where people value integrity and community above all else.
As a lifelong Mainer, leadership to me has never been about titles, it’s been about service to the state and communities I love.
And I’m not done yet, John. I’m running for Governor to lead Maine into its next chapter, standing on the frontlines, fighting for you. But I can’t win this race without your help.
Tomorrow at midnight, I’m facing my November end-of-month deadline. We’ve set a goal to raise $5,000 online between now and the end of the month.
I’d really appreciate your support to help me hit my fundraising goal. Your support today makes a real difference — helping us print materials, organize events, and reach more people across Maine. With your help, we can be prepared for any obstacles that come our way and keep moving forward for Maine.
