AEE Reacts to Biden's Call for 100% Clean Energy ([link removed] )

AEE reacted to U.S. Presidential candidate Joe Biden's call for a federal 100% clean energy standard among other policies in his proposed clean energy plan at an event in Delaware with a statement from AEE CEO Nat Kreamer: "Advanced energy has exceeded overall U.S. economic growth over the past decade and is poised to drive our nation's coronavirus comeback. With the support of federal policies like a 100% clean energy target and incentives for domestic manufacturing and electric vehicles, advanced energy, with 3.6 million U.S. workers going into the pandemic, can deliver a million more good-paying jobs, attract billions in private investment, expand domestic production, and improve our nation's electric infrastructure..." AEE Applauds FERC Dismissal of Net Metering Challenge ([link removed] )

AEE applauded the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC's) decision to unanimously dismiss a challenge to states' net metering policies on procedural grounds. "We are pleased that the Commission has unanimously dismissed NERA's unsupported request to dramatically expand federal regulation into state net metering policies. 5 Ways Distributed Energy Resources are Working in Texas, Now ([link removed] )

By now, it is no secret that distributed energy resources (DERs), including rooftop solar, energy storage, customer-owned generation, demand response, electric vehicles, and energy efficiency can save Texas billions of dollars over the coming years. A report published by Texas Advanced Energy Business Alliance (TAEBA) showed that DERs could deliver $5.47 billion of value over 10 years by prolonging the use of existing, functional utility infrastructure and by better integrating DERs into electricity markets. But the value of DERs is not just in the future. Rather, DERs are already providing Texas businesses and Texas residents with many benefits, including reliability, resilience, and cost savings. Read on for five examples of DERs currently at work in the Lone Star State. Click here to continue reading the blog post> ([link removed] )
