BREAKING: FLORIDA HOUSE REVIVES PUSH TO LOWER AGE TO PURCHASE ASSAULT WEAPONS, OTHER FIREARMS, FROM 21 TO 18

This is terrifying.


FIRST: A 19-year-old opened fire on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School 8 years ago – killing 17 students and educators with an AR-15 he LEGALLY purchased.


THEN: Florida passed a BIPARTISAN law to raise the age to buy a gun from 18 to 21 years old.


NOW: The Republican-led Florida legislature is attempting to REVERSE that provision and lower the minimum age back to 18 years old.


This is a slap in the face to all the victims, survivors, and families of Parkland.


We need to take action NOW and show gun-lobby-backed Republicans in Florida and across the country that we will make their plots BACKFIRE – because if it happens in Florida, it can happen in your state too. And gun-lobby-backed Republicans are hellbent on tearing down gun safety progress whenever possible. So, we’re counting on 975 supporters to chip in before our End of Month Deadline to help us PROVE the public unequivocally disapproves of Florida Republicans’ DANGEROUS plans and fund our efforts to replace every single lawmaker who votes for this bill – and any bill that weakens gun safety provisions that crops up in any state.
