John, this email is, well… not short. I hope you’ll take a moment to read it to the end. But if you’re in a hurry, and you already know what I’m working for here in Pennsylvania, I hope you’ll chip in just a few dollars before tomorrow at midnight to help me and my team push back against the far-right’s latest attacks and keep our Commonwealth moving forward.

I grew up in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where I watched my parents give back to their community. My father was a pediatrician, and my mother was an educator.

They raised me with a core set of values — values that probably sound pretty familiar to many Pennsylvanians: Work hard. Give back. Stand up for others.

I took those lessons with me when I first decided to run for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. And after we put in the work and knocked on more than 18,000 doors, we won.

I’ve always believed that government can and should be a force for good in people’s lives — not something that slows things down or screws folks over. So as a State Representative, I rolled up my sleeves and helped pass some of the toughest ethics laws in Pennsylvania history.

Then, I was elected County Commissioner in Montgomery County, where I helped lead a fiscal and ethical turnaround.

And as Attorney General, I fought to protect health care access for Pennsylvanians, defended the right to choose, and stood up to stop Donald Trump from throwing out our votes and overturning the 2020 election.

Then in 2022, I ran for Governor — and together, we won in parts of Pennsylvania that don’t usually vote for Democrats. We brought folks together. We focused on the issues. And we rejected the extremism and dysfunction that has become all too common in government today.

Since then, we’ve delivered real, concrete progress to communities big and small, urban, rural, and suburban alike. We’ve cut taxes for small businesses and working families. We’ve invested record amounts in public education. We’ve cut red tape, eliminated backlogs, and drastically reduced wait times for government permits. And we’ve secured over $31.6 billion in private sector investments, creating thousands of good-paying jobs.

Cutting costs. Expanding freedoms. Solving problems. That’s what I’m laser-focused on as your Governor.

But I also know there’s still so much more work that lies ahead of us — and it’s going to take all of us standing together to get it done. So John, if you’re just as ready as I am to tackle these challenges head-on, reject extremism, and get sh*t done, I hope I can count on your support at this important moment for Team Shapiro.
