John, this week we learned that anti-abortion extremists opened
a full-blown training camp in Memphis — a multi-building compound designed
to churn out hundreds of people trained in clinic blockades, harassment,
and intimidation.
Their goal? To resurrect the violent tactics of the late ’80s and ’90s —
not just at abortion clinics but at any place providing birth control, STI
care, or basic reproductive health. They’re calling it “Rescue
Resurrection.” We call it what it is: an organized escalation meant to
terrorize women and push us out of public life.
But here’s the part they always underestimate: us.
Across the country, feminists are building Women’s Protection Teams —
community-rooted, nonviolent squads trained to keep each other safe,
de-escalate threats, and hold the line for our freedoms.
