New Pennsylvania Project

Fellow activist,

Earlier this year, the New Pennsylvania Project launched “Slingshot The Podcast.” And we invite you to tune in and help us continue to fund this podcast into 2026!

In each episode, NPP’s CEO Kadida Kenner brings her background as a civil rights advocate, offering fresh perspectives on civic engagement, justice, and power. Slingshot is where bold conversations meet culture, politics, sports, and real-world issues. Slingshot The Podcast amplifies the voices too often overlooked or misrepresented—voices that move the culture forward. Whether we’re talking policy or pop culture, this is unfiltered truth from the ground up.

Slingshot The Podcast

The 6abc data team found more than 16 million Black men were eligible to vote in the 2022 midterm election, but only 38.6% cast a ballot.

This podcast intentionally centers the Black community and engages Black men specifically in the democratic process through culture, sports, and real-world issues.

We’ve hit double digits! Episode 17 is here, where we unpack what happens when governmental power goes unchecked and everyday people become collateral damage. Watch it at SlingshotThePodcast.org, or listen wherever you get your podcasts (Spotify, Apple, etc.) Otherwise, click here to view all of the episodes of “Slingshot The Podcast!”

We are so grateful for your support over the past year. We hope you’ll give it a listen and invest in the continued production, editing, and uploading into 2026!

Onward,

Team NPP

Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
