While many of us read this email from the comfort of our homes, many families in Florida don’t know if they will have a home tomorrow. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, families in Florida are forced to make difficult decisions including whether to pay for rent, utilities or food.

Our government should be doing more to support families facing unprecedented challenges, but it’s not. That’s why we’re not only pushing elected officials to do more, we are stepping up to provide financial assistance during these challenging times. Can you donate to directly help families in need?

We are sending gift cards to families in Florida who responded to our COVID wellness survey indicating they need help to buy food or pay bills. Thanks to generous donors like you, we’ve mailed more than 1,200 gift cards. With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal of $15,000 to help even more families who need assistance right now.

The pandemic is hitting Black and Brown communities the hardest, driving many families into deeper hunger and poverty. No one can thrive on an empty stomach, without power or without a roof over their head. With a donation of only $10 or more, you can directly support our families in need.
