Dear John, When asked about the breakdown in Canada–U.S. trade negotiations, the Prime Minister shrugged, “Who cares?” He then said he doesn’t have “a burning issue to speak with the President about right now.” <[link removed]> Well, I care. Conservatives care. And thousands of Canadian workers whose jobs depend on a stable Canada–U.S. relationship care deeply. The Prime Minister cast himself as the man with a plan to protect Canada from a Trump-led trade war. He promised a deal by July 21, but failed. That failure has consequences. Canadian jobs in steel, autos, and forestry are bleeding away, with more at risk. The Prime Minister may not see a “burning issue” with the United States. Canadian workers certainly do. Our Conservative team will keep his feet to the fire on behalf of the women and men who keep Canada’s industries moving. <[link removed]> I recently rose in the House of Commons to speak about the Liberal Budget and the reality Canadians are facing. It is incredible what Canadians are building today, what we have built in history, and what we will surely build in the future. Yet right now, over 2 million Canadians rely on food banks monthly. Dual-income families can’t keep up with costs. Half of millennials may never own a home. And the Bank of Canada warns that our standard of living will decline if nothing changes. After a decade of Liberal policies, Canada is falling behind and workers are paying the price. Only a Conservative government will rebuild competitiveness, cut red tape, attract investment, and make Canada the best place to build, hire, and grow. If you are able, please support my work <[link removed]> . Grassroots supporters like you allow me to do what I do. Thank you!
