It is up to you and me to keep fighting for freedom.
Dear John,
I have a major announcement to share with you, but first, I’d like to share a quote from F.A. Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom.”
“Although we had been warned by some of the greatest political thinkers of the nineteenth century, by Tocqueville and Lord Acton, that socialism means slavery, we have steadily moved in the direction of socialism.”
This quote puts things into perspective. The battle between socialism and freedom has been going on for hundreds of years.
It is up to you and me to keep fighting for freedom.
Some of the largest violations of human liberty are occurring not in developing nations, but here in the United States and Europe.
Freedom of speech is under constant threat both in the U.S. and Europe. In England, police are arresting people for social media posts. In the U.S., government authorities are targeting college students for their protests. And of course, we saw a massive erosion of civil liberties during the COVID years.
The good news is that the opportunity for freedom has never been greater around the world.
- In Venezuela, the socialist regime is barely hanging onto power as María Corina Machado pushes for democracy.
- In Syria, the toppling of the socialist regime led by Assad has opened up new opportunities for free markets.
- In Argentina, Milei continues to take inspiration from our local partner think tanks to show what free markets can accomplish.
But wait, it gets even better!
In all of these areas - from Europe and America to South America and Syria - Atlas Network partners are on the front lines defending freedom. ([link removed] )
Here is my major announcement, John.
Today marks the official launch of Atlas Network’s year-end giving campaign to raise $50,000 by midnight on December 31st.
I am personally asking you to become a first-time Atlas Network donor and to start giving monthly to support the cause of liberty. With the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, starting in January, even standard deductions allow for $1,000 in tax-deductible gifts ($2,000 for couples).
John, can you donate $25, $50, $250, or even chip in $10 today, and join Atlas Network’s fight for freedom worldwide? Please select an amount below to donate. ([link removed] )

This year-end giving campaign is NOT my big, hairy, audacious goal.
This is only the MEANS to our big goal, which is to build a future world where freedom, prosperity, and limited government exist.
Atlas Network works alongside 494 wholly independent, pro-freedom nonprofit organizations that share our commitment to the principles of a free society across 103 countries.
And please, do not think of us as only working with foreign partners.
Many of the institutions in the United States are our partners, including, but not limited to, the Cato Institute, Reason Foundation, and Institute for Justice.
Globally, our partners include those championing democracy and human rights in Venezuela, Mohamad Machine’s fight against Iran’s theocracy, Georgia’s youthful freedom movement standing against authoritarianism in eastern Europe, and hundreds of others around the world.
Our partners rely on you, John.
Many of them risk their lives and personal freedom in this global battle between socialism and freedom.
It is with great urgency that I personally invite you to continue your support of Atlas Network. Please consider donating today and help us reach this goal by the end of the year. ([link removed] )

Your support will create a freer, more prosperous, and more peaceful world where the principles of individual liberty, property rights, limited government, and free markets are secured by the rule of law.
Thank you, John.
