Before the rise of the Tea Party, Koch Industries gave PAC money to quite a few Democrats — but over the past decade, those donations have needled down to just a few of the most loyal conservative Democrats in Congress.

And Henry Cuellar made the cut. Since 2004, he’s been a favorite of the libertarian, pro-oil, anti-working class PAC:

Why does the Libertarian Koch Industries love Henry Cuellar and his Blue Dog Democrat allies so much? Easy answer: oil. Henry Cuellar has been one of the strongest allies of the oil industry, taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from the industry.

And he just issued a very public and very vitriolic condemnation of the Green New Deal — spreading lies about how it would affect Texas, and parroting blatant Republican talking points about the only real answer we have to the climate crisis.
