Small Business Saturday is this weekend, and it's the perfect time to talk about how we can support the local businesses that make Cincinnati special.

Every time you shop at a local business instead of a big box store or Amazon, you're keeping money in our community. You're supporting your neighbor who took a risk to follow their dream. You're creating jobs for Cincinnati families.

This holiday season, before you click "add to cart" on a website, think about checking out:

 - The locally-owned bookstore in your neighborhood

 - The family-run restaurant you've been meaning to try

 - The small shop downtown with unique gifts you won't find anywhere else

I know money is tight for a lot of families right now, especially with tariffs driving up prices on imported goods. But even small purchases at local businesses make a real difference.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They employ our neighbors, sponsor our kids' sports teams, and make Cincinnati feel like home.
