Together in a special partnership with Glacier National Park and
the Glacier Institute, and thanks to generous support from the
Thomas O. Brown Foundation, a small group of middle school girls
recently had the opportunity to participate in a brand new camp
( [link removed] )
focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math –
"STEAM" for short.

During the 4-day overnight camp in June, participants attended a
variety of workshops to learn about Glacier's changing
landscapes. Melissa Sladek, Science Communication Specialist for
Glacier's Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center, says
the program empowers young women "to become leaders in thinking
about and working toward solving complex issues affecting our
world."
