Friend,

It’s happened.

The dinner table is dead silent. Forks down. Eyes wide. You could hear a pin drop.

Someone brought up politics again.

And then — God help us — my cousin from Lowell said the unforgivable words:

“Honestly, Massachusetts is better than New Hampshire.”

Grandma gasped.

A toddler started crying.

Even the turkey looked offended.

I tried to keep the peace, but I could feel every Granite Stater instinct in my bones telling me to stand up and deliver the Gettysburg Address of Live Free or Die.

But instead… I’m emailing you.

Because there’s only one way to break this tension and restore order to Thanksgiving:
