Hi folks, it’s Phil.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, I am thinking about the sources of gratitude, inspiration and hope that keep us going when times are tough. These are just a few of mine:
My wonderful family — my wife and our two children, as well as my grandparents and mother, who survived a Nazi concentration camp. Although my grandparents are no longer with us, my memories of their resilience and love for our nation’s principles live on as a blessing. Over the years, my grandmother’s stories of survival and reasons to never give up have stayed with me — including this piece of wisdom: as long as you hold onto hope, nothing is lost. “It is easier to believe,” she’d say. I continue to hold that spirit in my heart.
Every single conversation you and I have had over the course of this campaign. I am humbled by your support and deeply appreciate your engagement.
The leadership of Colorado governors who’ve come before us — like Billy Adams, who took on the Klan and won. Like Ralph Carr, who refused to put Japanese-Americans in internment camps even when ordered to by the federal government. And like Roy Romer, who stood strong against discriminatory policies and protected LGBTQ+ equality long before others did so.
The rule of law , our commitment to freedom and opportunity for all, and our 250-year-old (and counting!) democratic republic.

There is so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. From my family to yours, I wish you all the happiest of Thanksgiving and an opportunity to find hope, joy, and support with friends and family during the holiday.
