Today, I’m thankful for family, friends, and the greatest state in the union, Delaware. I’m grateful every single day that Delawareans entrusted me with the responsibility of representing them in Congress. And I’m also deeply thankful for you.
A year ago this month, I was elected to Congress. I remember my first few days on Capitol Hill as a Representative-elect — getting lost in the tunnels (still happens!), rushing between orientation meetings, and wondering what the year had in store.
I think it’s safe to say my freshman year in Congress has been anything but typical. But through every up and down, you’ve been right there with me.
Your kind messages, your choice to power this work, and your belief that real progress is always possible have meant more than you know. In tough moments, they’ve reminded me that we’re never alone — and why hope is worth holding onto.
So before I’m off to cook with my family — to some Taylor Swift, of course — I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for being part of our team. And thank you to the people of Delaware for giving me the honor of serving you.
