Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are enjoying the day with friends, family, and loved ones.

I’m taking a day off from the campaign trail to spend the day with my dad. I am so thankful to be celebrating today with him after his 10 months of surgery, rehab, chemo, and radiation from bone cancer.

Today is a reminder to cherish our loved ones and the community members who show up for us in big and small ways — our caregivers, nurses, neighbors, and friends who help us get through the hardest days.

That’s why I’m running for governor: so every family can thrive, not just barely get by, and so no one has to choose between caring for the people they love and paying the bills.
