Friend, Happy Thanksgiving!
This has been a year of uncertainty, but thanks to our community partners and allies, I have so much to be thankful for…
Father Joe’s Villages and Feeding San Diego have been working hard to connect our most vulnerable families with food, clothing, and other resources this holiday season and beyond.
HandsOn San Diego is coordinating volunteer-driven blanket drives, crafting sessions, and recycling events for San Diegans, by San Diegans.
211 San Diego is providing a centralized safety net for anyone who needs support accessing food, utilities, housing, and more.
I always say community is the cure for chaos, and this effort would not be possible without the coordination, care, and compassion of the teams and volunteers that run these programs.
County employees and our District Four Team are working hard to develop the Safety Net Bridge Program to continue meeting San Diego’s long-term needs from 2026 onward, no matter what happens at the federal level.
Your unwavering support and tireless advocacy are the foundation of this movement for a San Diego that puts people first.
None of this life-saving work would be possible without you.
Thank you for everything you do for San Diego County.
Happy Thanksgiving, Friend.
Your Supervisor,
