Dear Friend,
On this Thanksgiving Day, we at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation are giving thanks to YOU for your unwavering support and dedication to our mission.
Because of your generosity and belief in our cause, we've been able to push boundaries and reach incredible milestones in advocacy, legal reform, and public policy.
To highlight a few major victories from this year alone:
👉After five administrations of inaction, The Epstein Files Transparency Act was signed into law was signed into law, mandating the full release of all government files related to Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell's sex trafficking network
👉The Take It Down Act was signed into law! This crucial legislation criminalizes sharing nonconsensual explicit images, including AI-generated images, and requires platforms to remove them within 48 hours.
👉The Supreme Court upheld a Texas law that requires pornography sites use age verification to prevent children from accessing their content. This landmark ruling paves the way for other states to pass similar legislation to protect children from pornography!
👉 Our lawsuit against Twitter (now X) became the first federal lawsuit to proceed against a social media company for its failure to report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for the harm it caused to children by its negligence. Also, this decision is now one of the small handful of cases to ever proceed against a website past a Section 230 defense.
And so much more!
Today, we honor you—not just as supporters, but as essential partners in the journey toward ending sexual exploitation. Together, we are paving the way for a safer, exploitation-free world.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and restful Thanksgiving.
