Happy Thanksgiving

Dear John,

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I’m reminded how blessed we are to call Florida’s 18th District home. Each year brings new challenges and opportunities, but what remains constant is the resilience and compassion of the people who make our communities such a special place to live.

Rep. Franklin hosts third annual Cybersecurity Capture the Flag event, honors Service Academy appointees and FL-18 Congressional Art Competition winners and attends Valentines for Vets at the Lakeland VA Clinic.

Rep. Franklin welcomes the Polk County Flight to Honor to Washington, celebrates Navy veteran Leonard Nichols’ 100th birthday and visits the Sebring Medal of Honor Museum.

Rep. Franklin attends Sebring Post Office dedication in memory of Major Thomas B. McGuire and connects veterans and families with critical resources at the third annual Vet Fest.

I’m honored to serve you and work alongside so many dedicated neighbors, teachers, first responders, veterans and families who care deeply about our region’s future. Your engagement and commitment inspire me every day.

This year has been filled with moments that reflect the very best of our district. From celebrating the achievements of our students and young innovators, to honoring the service of our veterans, to spending time with the hardworking men and women who keep our communities safe, I’m reminded time and again of the values that ground us. These engagements are a constant reminder that Central Florida’s greatest strength will always be its people.
