[1]NNU - Medicare for All!
The holiday season is already here again, and so is our interactive
Medicare for All conversation bot!
Talking about politics doesn't have to get heated. Across the political
spectrum, the vast majority of people in our country are unhappy with our
expensive, profit-driven health care system and are ready for a change —
especially after millions of people saw their Affordable Care Act (ACA)
premiums skyrocket during this month’s open enrollment period, with more
increases on the way when subsidies expire next year.
The holidays are an opportunity to introduce people in our lives to
Medicare for All and further build our collective movement for a
universal, single-payer system that guarantees health care for ALL at no
cost.

tomorrow or in the weeks ahead, check out our interactive tool to prepare
and practice having conversations about why Medicare for All is the
solution to our broken health care system →
[ [link removed] ]Getting Started. Let’s say you start a conversation like this: So
there’s a movement to create a national medicare for All health care
system. What do you think about that? Now how do you think someone you
know may respond: How are we going to pay for it? Government run health
care would cost a fortune. Medicare for All is too radical. Democrats will
lose if they support it! Medicare for All will lead to rationing and
waiting lines for care. I’ve paid into Medicare my entire life, why should
people get it for free?
We’ve based this tool on the Response Cycle, a strategy we use when
knocking on doors or talking to people in public about our Medicare for
All campaign. We ask people about their experience with the health care
system, we share our own, and then we use that shared, common experience
of our broken health care system to let them know that Medicare for All is
the only real solution.
We hope this tool can help you have productive conversations on this
important topic that affects each and every one of us — and we hope you
have very happy holidays!
