Sen. McConnell visits Corbin on hospital tour

McConnell said the CARES Act was created to help grapple the healthcare crisis and prop-up the American economy which had been largely shutdown at the requests of medical experts. “Since I’m in the middle of every one of these discussions, and in this particular case started the bill in my office, I always try to lookout for Kentucky,” noted the Senator. “What this did was pump $12 billion into the commonwealth.” “If you look at the accumulative total of states our size, we got the second largest amount of money out of the CARES Act of any state in America,” McConnell later added.

Amy McGrath Equates Late-Term Abortion With C-Sections

As Team Mitch previously pointed out, McGrath refuses to draw a distinction between trimesters for abortion; she previously said that she was "100 percent pro-choice." McGrath’s far-left rhetoric is not unique to her long-shot bid against Leader McConnell. In her 2018 run for the House of Representatives, McGrath actually likened late-term abortion to a C-section, claiming that “no one” supports late term abortion: “No one would ever dream of that [late-term abortion] scenario. It's called a C-Section!”

Senator Mitch McConnell Talks About New Targeted Stimulus

Senator McConnell says he's hoping to prioritize help for those who need it most while balancing the health needs of the country. "The biggest hit on our people was the hospitality industry, restaurants, hotels, they got hit the hardest and they are going to need some additional support and of course healthcare," said McConnell, "So, wrapping it up, in the next package, liability packages, kids back in school, jobs slash unemployment and healthcare, it's where I think we will be headed." McConnell also reiterated his beliefs about wearing a mask, saying it's not a political move. He says it's just a way to keep yourself and those around you safe.
