Email from Mike Brown, Kansas Reflecting on Family, Friendships, and So Many Blessings This Holiday.               A Thanksgiving Reflection As the Brown family gathers in this season of gratitude, I want to pause—truly pause—and offer my heartfelt thanks for your friendship, your support, and your prayers. You have been a steady blessing in a year that felt like and indeed was, in so many ways, the turning of a monumental page. This year began with Donald Trump's triumphant return to the White House and continued to unfold with growth, change, and moments that were quiet invitations to reflect. New friendships arrived like welcome morning light, long-held bonds of trust and friendship deepened, and the passing of dear friends left heartbreak and a sacred echo that lingers forever. To those we’ve lost, may God hold you close until we meet again. You are remembered forever with reverence and a smile. Godspeed. I am profoundly grateful for the honor of serving in the Trump Administration alongside U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and a massive group of dedicated patriots who share the president’s vision of America First. These are exceptional leaders—men and women I hold in the highest esteem. To stand with them, minute by minute, working for the American people and with and for President Donald J. Trump, is a dream realized through friendships, rugged grit, dogged determination, and the pure and holy grace of Almighty God. My travels across Kansas and throughout this great country have introduced me to extraordinary Americans whose stories—so many of which are humble, hopeful, and quietly powerful—left an imprint on my heart. Every conversation, every mile, every shared moment affirmed a truth I carry with me daily: the strength of our nation is found in its people, Americans. Our values are not fading; they are ever-brighter, alive, renewed, resolute. This Thanksgiving, my gratitude extends with deep reverence to the men and women who protect our freedoms. Past, present, and future servicemembers—you are the reason America stands tall. Your courage guards our liberty; your sacrifice is the purest offering of love for country. You are the bright white line between fear and respect. And though the words feel far too small: thank you for your service. Even in uncertain times, America remains a beacon—tender and resilient, grounded and optimistic, flexible yet unbreakable. We stand at the threshold of and peering clear-eyed into America’s next Golden Age, and the horizon ahead glimmers and shines with endless promise. On a personal level, this year has refined and honed me. I stretched, stumbled, reached, learned, and endured—and I did much of it in full view, in the arena, beneath the lights. Amid the distractions and deceptions cast by others, I found myself facing challenges that called me to higher ground. Faith kept me steady. Hard work kept me moving. And now, by His grace, I stand in Washington, D.C., sleeves rolled up, ready for the road ahead. Yet beyond every professional blessing, God gifted our family a joy beyond words. Our daughter, Laura, and son-in-law, Sam, are expecting identical twin girls this spring. To become a grandfather twice, in one miraculous day, fills me with a gratitude so deep it quiets the soul. I cannot wait to meet Palmer and Layla, to hold them close, to love them without end, and to whisper softly that I have been waiting for them my whole life. They are already loved beyond measure. I am endlessly grateful for my wife, Kristi Brown—my anchor, my partner, my steady hand. Her love grounds me. Her wisdom sharpens me. Her faith reminds me of what truly matters. She is loving, fierce, discerning, and astonishingly calm under pressure. She is, without question, God’s greatest gift to me. As we enter the holiday season, know this: you matter deeply to me. Your friendship and your loyalty have shaped my journey in ways I could never fully articulate. Together we have achieved what many thought impossible—and the mountains ahead are larger still. The ground is shifting. The horizon is rising. The future calling. And we are ready. This Thanksgiving, I reflect on the abundance of blessings in my life—the friendships, the opportunities, the open doors, the moments of grace, and the joy that fills my days. I have much to be thankful for—most especially your friendship, support, kindness, and prayers. These are among my greatest treasures. Thank you for walking this road with me, even when it was rougher than it needed to be. Your loyalty has meant more than you know. May your Thanksgiving be filled with peace, gratitude, and the warmth of family. May your home be blessed, your heart light, and the year ahead rich with promise.
