Every year, corporations tell us the same story: that Black Friday is about “deals,” “savings,” and “holiday cheer.” But we know better.
What it’s really about is helping millionaire corporate stockholders to earn record profits while the working class struggles under the yoke of stagnant wages and record-high living expenses.
That’s why, from now until December 2nd, the Movement for Freedom is joining organizers nationwide in the Black Friday Blackout — an act of economic resistance designed to hit the systems that harm our communities where they feel it the most: their profits.
The Blackout is simple: don’t pour money into the systems that harm us. Invest in small businesses in your community that have declined because of tariffs and ICE terror, contribute to a bail fund, or support any of the movements fighting for us.
