Friends, as we continue to grapple with this pandemic, our country is relying on the U.S. Postal Service like never before.

The House recently passed a bill to provide emergency funding to the Postal Service but Mitch McConnell refuses to bring it for a vote in the Senate. Even worse, President Trump called the Postal Service "a joke" during a White House press conference and has threatened to withhold funding.

If Congress and the Trump administration don't allocate emergency funding to the Postal Service now, it could soon be forced to dramatically reduce staff and service levels, impacting millions.

The Postal Service ensures that those most vulnerable to the virus can still get necessities like medications delivered to their homes. It ensures people still receive their Social Security benefits or the support of unemployment assistance. And as we quickly approach the November election, vote-by-mail ballots will ensure Americans can protect both their health and their right to vote.

Too much is on the line for us to allow the Postal Service to wither, and that's why I need your help today. I'm looking for 200 people to demand the Trump administration protect the Postal Service before midnight, and I'm counting on you to be one of them, friends:

Click here now to sign the petition demanding the Trump administration take swift action to save the U.S. Postal Service and make sure it remains strong in the face of this crisis.

Thank you so much for speaking out. As always, there is work to be done.
