We’re going to say something that may sound a little odd, coming from a campaign as up-in-the-air as ours:

We’re not going to ask for a donation tomorrow on Thanksgiving.

Yes, our grassroots fundraising is extremely important, especially with the Kansas GOP’s latest redistricting push right around the corner. But we also know you deserve a break. You deserve a day with family, food, football… and no campaign emails like these.

Here’s the thing, though: Since we’re so close to the beginning of yet another scheme to gerrymander Sharice out of office, there really isn’t any room in our budget for off days. So today, we’re reaching out to personally ask:

Can you chip in just a few dollars before midnight to make sure our campaign doesn’t run out of gas? We just DOUBLED our daily fundraising goal to make up for tomorrow’s slowdown — so we’re really hoping you can help us out.
