We already told you about Mike Siegel’s big win over Goldman Sachs-backed Medicare for All opponent Pritesh Gandhi, but that wasn’t our only high impact victory this week in Texas. Our Revolution mobilized to help José Garza overcome the odds and beat establishment incumbent Margaret Moore in the race for District Attorney of Travis County, TX! Garza refused campaign contributions from police unions and ran on a criminal justice reform platform that highlighted how Moore aggressively pursued drug charges against people of color. His victory shows that voters are demanding progressive policy change in the wake of the protests against the police. Donate here to help us elect more progressive DAs like José Garza. Progressives like José are critical to winning the fight against structural racism in our criminal justice system!
FIGHT STRUCTURAL RACISM
Our Revolution is deeply committed to down-ballot races that intersect with the fight against structural racism in law enforcement. Garza’s victory comes on the heels of multiple wins by Our Revolution-endorsed candidates in DA races around the country, including Chesa Boudin in San Francisco, Larry Krasner in Philadelphia, Mike Schmidt in Portland, OR, and Dave Clegg in Ulster County, NY. Our Revolution is competing and winning up and down the ballot as we fight for a more progressive America. Pitch in here to help us keep up the fight against the forces of racism and the corporate establishment!
